Summary of Position

Perform all tasks associated with the formulation, dispensing, organic synthesis, and packaging of non-radioactive components and finished kits according to cGMP guidelines in order to meet production demands. Initiate, investigate, and close exceptions as needed. Complete CAPA action items. Initiate documentation and process improvements.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness, and compliance to safety guidelines and SOP’s.
  • Ensure the maintenance of their department, premises and equipment.
  • Maintain all documentation according to cGMP guidelines.
  • Follow aseptic processing guidelines.
  • Ability to work in enclosed areas such as half-body suits.
  • Responsibilities also include lifting, reaching, pulling, and squatting.
  • Set-up, maintains, and cleans appropriate equipment according to cGMP guidelines.
  • Follow detailed instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Participate effectively in a team environment.
  • Participate effectively in company Quality Improvement/Lean Manufacturing programs.
  • Communicate effectively with support groups and management.


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent life science degree required.
  • 3-5 years of overall work experience, experience in the analytical evaluation of pharmaceutical products preferred.
  • Previous experience with small scale commercial organic chemical synthesis of APIs desirable.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines concerning the establishment, validation and documentation of test procedures in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom and isolator technology a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer Service Oriented.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends based on business need.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.


Working Conditions: 

  • Standard office environment, coupled with time in radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory environments.
  • Willingness to work in plant producing radioactive materials and requiring all employees to participate in safety programs designed to minimize potential and/or actual exposure levels.
  • Responsibilities also include the ability to lift, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach, and climb stairs, ladders and steps with or without accommodation.
  • Must be willing to wear a variety of personal protective equipment.
  • Willingness to work in a team based environment.
  • Close attention to detail required.
  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular work hours.
  • Must possess good hand-eye coordination.
