Summary of Position


Cyclotron Technical Leads (Physicists).  Curium US LLC.  Maryland Heights, Missouri.  (Multiple Positions).  Responsible for proprietary multiple particle accelerators (cyclotrons) equipment which produce Curium’s radiopharmaceutical products.  Serve as a resident radiofrequency subject matter expert.  Use knowledge of physics to develop and improve nuclear medicine equipment such as multiple particle accelerators (cyclotrons).  Monitor and direct daily operations and routine maintenance of cyclotrons and proprietary equipment.  Perform, coordinate, and lead department troubleshooting activities for cyclotron equipment.  Plan, organize, schedule, direct and execute major maintenance, repairs, and upgrade project work for cyclotrons and associated support systems.  Serve as the primary after hours point of contact to site leadership, responsible for any cyclotron equipment problems.  Monitor and lead technical training and support to other cyclotron operations personnel.  Develop and author preventative maintenance and operations procedures for cyclotrons and support equipment.  Develop and promote cyclotron operations equipment design and process improvements which serve to improve reliability, increase output, reduce cost, and reduce radiation exposure.  Guide and direct non-technically skilled site personnel from outside the department in performing mechanical repairs to cyclotrons.  Monitor trend analysis and tracking of cyclotron performance data.  Ensure a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness and compliance with all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.  Requires: Master’s degree in Physics, Nuclear Medicine, or a closely related degree.  Demonstrated experience in component level electronics troubleshooting and repairing.  Demonstrated experience using a cyclotron (particle accelerator) in the production of radio pharmaceutical products.  Demonstrated experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing cyclotron RF systems and cyclotron sub-systems.  Demonstrated experience working with ionizing radiation sources and using radiation field survey meters.  To apply, send résumés to Curium US LLC, Michael Gruen, Senior Director - Human Resources, 111 West Port Plaza Drive, Suite 800, St. Louis, MO 63146 or by email to michael.gruen@curiumpharma.com.
