Summary of Position
The CMMS Specialist is responsible for all aspects of Maximo System utilization, ensuring efficient maintenance operations and asset management. This role serves as the system administrator, troubleshooting technical issues, optimizing system use, and training plant personnel in effective data entry and reporting. The position plays a key role in maintaining system accuracy, driving continuous improvement, and supporting both internal and external customer needs through data management and reporting.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Hours could be adjusted.
Essential Functions
- The CMMS Specialist has responsibility for maintenance and management of CMMS, Maximo System, for the plant.
- Functions as the Administrator of the CMMS system and is a subject matter expert to resolve usability issues, address technical questions, and maximize the system potential.
- Functions as the main technical interface between Site CMMS system and Corporate IS personnel.
- Lead, coach and train personnel for CMMS data entry, work order filing, reporting, and employee data collection.
- Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) utilizing data captured in CMMS and improvement in maintenance.
- Has ownership and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the CMMS and associated processes and reports them to departmental personnel to define opportunities and drive continuous improvement in maintenance.
- Provide quality service for internal and external customers by working with Validation, Internal and External auditors by providing necessary and or requested information form the CMMS database.
- Enters all pertinent information into the CMMS system including updates to PM’s and Equipment information.
- Is responsible for the distribution and collection of Data, PM and DM information and its subsequent closure of these items.
- Be able to support a flexible work schedule that includes overtime, shift changes, and emergency call-in.
- Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.)
Requirements
- Associate Degree is preferred, work experience considered in lieu of a degree
- 3 or more years of relevant in maintenance management experience is required
- 3 or more of experience in a data entry role, with direct customer facing experience
- Previous experience with CMMS (preferably Maximo) or similar maintenance management systems is preferred
- Must have excellent IT and computer skills
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and database management
Working Conditions:
- Willingness to work in plant producing radioactive materials and requiring all employees to participate in safety programs designed to minimize potential and/or actual exposure levels.
- Responsibilities include the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, kneeling, crouching, twisting the upper body, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, must be able to physically negotiate stairs and evacuation ladders with or without accommodation, wear and operate safety equipment, enter vessels, and inspect equipment.
- Material handling devices (e.g., hand truck, fork truck, and conveyors) are used when possible, however, use of proper lifting and movement techniques is necessary to prevent injury.
- Must be willing to wear a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hearing protection as needed.
- May be required to sit or stand for long periods of 8+ hours a day while performing duties.
- Must possess good hand-eye coordination; close attention to detail is required.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to mechanical/moving parts, hazards including corrosive, flammable and toxic material, dust, dirt, odors, and irritants.
- Willingness to complete safety training within allotted timeframes, and work in a team-based environment.
- Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require.
