Summary of Position
The Architect is responsible for understanding industry standards and best practices, keeping current with industry trends and emerging technologies and providing guidance and direction to the various development, user interface and business groups on standards that drive quality and performance.
He/she is responsible for working across all infrastructure foundations (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to comprehend and recommend improvements and enhancements to existing and all future implementations and to set the direction for all current and future projects and processes.
There will be a constant interaction with an international team of open-minded colleagues located in Europe and USA to find the very best solutions for our applications and services. As a member of the Architecture Infrastructure Services Team he/she will be responsible to build proof of architecture concept and help to run/maintain our cloud- server- Data Center and virtualization Infrastructure, as well as to plan and steer the related projects with internal co-working teams and stakeholders.
Essential Functions
• Analyze infrastructure solutions
o Provide infrastructure analysis services to stakeholders
o Analyze and understand user needs and expectations, as well as alternative infrastructure architectures and trends
o Conduct analyses of technology and associated operational processes, with a view to recommending infrastructure designs and strategies that will improve service, lower costs, and prevent unforeseen operational issues.
• Create architectural standards
o Interview stakeholders to gather relevant information to facilitate architectural requirements definitions
o Establish, explain, and validate the solution-testing criteria for projects
o Design services in the area of technology solutions, operations architecture and Curium standards.
• Deploy solution architectures that promote a clear, consistent business vision
o Conduct analysis of alternative architectures and define a solution's cost-of-ownership
o Articulate key aspects of architecture and design (e.g., scalability, availability, manageability, robustness, appropriate incorporation of new technology) through models, documentation and present architectures to various stakeholders.
• Execute projects using various technology solutions.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in IT infrastructure architecture
• Strong experience with on-premises and Cloud Infrastructure services such as Azure
• Experience with Private/hybrid cloud solutions and commercial tools (VMware, HPE SimpliVity, Microsoft).
• Experience in Hyperconverged platforms like Simplivity, etc.
• Experience with Software-Defined Environment
• Experience with main hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Basic knowledge of networking (Cisco & FortiGate)
• Familiar with main operating systems (Linux and Windows) and middleware (appservers, webservers, databases and others)
• Experience knowledge on Infrastructure projects such as Backup & Disaster Recovery
• Relocation Data Center & Replatform activities.
• Definition of Infrastructure Strategies and Roadmap
• Architecture Design and Implementation of Infrastructure and Automation Solutions
Soft Skills:
• Fast and independent learning capabilities
• Good interpersonal skills, well-organised, self-motivated person, strong customer service, project, and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead a technical team
• Ability to interact with customer stakeholders
• English language – fluent
Nice to have Experience/Skills:
• TOGAF Certification or equivalent
• Experience with Network Architecture and solutions
• Familiar with major Public Cloud services
• Experience in DevOps around Continuous Integration & Delivery
• Familiar with CyberSecurity Architectural Solutions
• Team player with strong analytical skills and the ability to understand and resolve complex problems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to clients and company supervisors
