Summary of Position
As Curium prepares to commercialize its first therapeutic assets, the Vice President, Global Marketing will lead the development and global implementation of marketing strategy for two critical brands. This role is accountable for defining the global brand vision, scientific platform, positioning, and market sequencing, and for creating the frameworks and core toolkits regional teams will use to plan and execute local launches.
The VP will partner closely with the NA Marketing team and affiliate leadership globally to ensure consistency in brand direction, while enabling flexibility for regulatory, cultural, and market specific adaptation. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Global Commercial Strategy and plays a critical role in aligning global teams and functions around brand readiness, customer value, and lifecycle strategy.
Essential Functions
- Define global brand positioning, scientific platform, and value proposition for two key brands.
- Develop and deliver global messages, claims, and creative concepts. Provide core toolkit assets to affiliates.
- Lead global launch planning, including market sequencing, milestone tracking, and launch excellence frameworks.
- Conduct global market research and competitive landscape analysis. Capture unmet needs across regions.
- Set and manage global omnichannel and digital strategy (e.g., unified web platforms, core campaigns).
- Oversee global KOL and stakeholder engagement, including scientific advisory boards and global congress participation.
- Create global promotional materials, templates, and core visual assets for affiliate adaptation.
- Actively participate in commercial governance forums and represent global marketing perspective in strategic discussions.
- Coordinate with regional and local teams to ensure global plans are executed with local relevance and compliance.
- Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 20 or more years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech marketing, with 10+ years in global roles.
- Commercial experience in global oncology, radiopharma or specialty product launches.
- Strong matrix leadership and cross-regional collaboration skills.
- Pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology professional with diverse leadership and technical skills in oncology, companion diagnostics as well as therapeutics preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, conflict management, priority setting, strategic agility, building effective teams, managing vision and purpose.
- Proficiency in computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and experience with Project Management software.
Working Conditions:
- Approximately 50% travel if not based in St. Louis with domestic, and occasional international travel required.
- This position will work in typical office conditions with extensive time using personal computer equipment.
- May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
- Close attention to detail required.
- Willingness to work in a team-based environment.
- The position deals with many deadlines. Due to the short turnaround time of deadlines and limited time, overtime, weekend work and holiday work is sometimes required.
