Summary of Position

The Solution Analyst – Commercial Systems and BI is responsible for analyzing, configuring, and delivering business solutions across commercial applications (CRM, CLM), with a primary focus on Salesforce and Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), and a supporting role in BI and analytics. The role sits within the Global Applications team and works closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external service providers.

The successful candidate will own the functional lifecycle of solutions in scope—from requirement gathering and functional design through vendor coordination, testing, and deployment. They will ensure that enhancements to commercial systems are aligned with business needs, application roadmaps, and IT standards, while also contributing to BI-related initiatives and supporting the continuous improvement of data and analytics capabilities.

Essential Functions

Solution Analysis and Design

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather, challenge, and refine requirements related to Salesforce, Power Apps, and Power Automate solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and solution designs for implementation by internal teams or external vendors.
  • Analyze existing business processes and system usage to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to data integration and BI-related initiatives.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with application roadmaps, architectural principles, and IT standards.
  • Work collaboratively within the team, supporting colleagues during peak periods and contributing to shared solution design and knowledge.

Project Delivery

  • Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute the delivery of commercial system enhancements, including functional design, testing, documentation, and deployment.
  • Act as the primary functional point of contact for external vendors, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and delivered as expected.
  • Support system configuration, user acceptance testing, and release activities for Salesforce and Power Platform solutions.
  • Contribute to change management activities such as user communication, process documentation, and adoption support to ensure successful rollout of new or enhanced functionality.

 Application Management

  • Support day-to-day functional management of Salesforce and Power Platform applications, including issue analysis, minor enhancements, and user support.
  • Monitor application performance, data quality, and functional stability, working with vendors and IT teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure application documentation, configuration records, and operating procedures are maintained and up to date.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system usability, automate manual processes, and optimize existing solutions.
  • Provide functional input into application roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and act as a trusted functional advisor for commercial systems and process automation.
  • Communicate complex system behavior and solution options clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and solution walkthroughs with business users and vendors.
  • Coordinate effectively across business, IT, and external partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, documentation standards, and relevant IT and security procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong experience working as a Salesforce Business Analyst or functional analyst, including requirements gathering, solution design, and enhancement delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce administration (configuration, user management, basic troubleshooting); Salesforce certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience analyzing business processes and translating requirements into clear functional specifications for implementation by external vendors.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate, in a business analysis or coordination capacity.
  • Understanding of data integration concepts, including how data is ingested into Salesforce from upstream systems and how Salesforce data is exposed to downstream reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and functional quality.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with business users, IT teams, and vendors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, supporting colleagues during busy periods and contributing to shared objectives.
  • Fluent in English; French and/or Czech is an advantage.

Nice to have Experience/Skills:

  • Salesforce certifications or formal training.
  • Experience with Power BI (consuming reports, validating data, supporting requirements or testing).
  • Experience with Power Automate, workflow automation, or low-code platforms beyond core usage.
  • Experience with DocuSign
  • Basic understanding of BI concepts such as data models, semantic layers, and reporting structures.
  • Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience.
