Summary of Position
Responsible for supporting accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, cash and treasury management, financial close activities, account reconciliations, and R&D reporting. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, oversees banking and expense programs, supports R&D accounting activities, and drives process improvements to strengthen financial controls, efficiency, and data integrity while maintaining compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.
Work Schedule: M – F 8am - 5pm
Essential Functions
- Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, DEA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).
- Ensure all financial activities strictly adhere to GAAP/IFRS standards and relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing and posting accurate journal entries.
- Perform comprehensive general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies across accounts.
- Lead banking and local treasury activities by maintaining accurate cash and debt accounting, supporting liquidity management, and ensuring compliance with banking controls and authorization requirements.
- Manage corporate purchasing cards and oversee the Concur expense reimbursement program.
- Review and support project accounting for specialized R&D initiatives to ensure accurate reporting.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to modernize accounting systems, strengthen internal controls, and enhance data efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 1 or more years of relevant experience
- CPA or Chartered Accountant highly desired.
- Understanding of GAAP with IFRS knowledge a plus.
- Minimum 1+ years in financial or accounting role.
- Ability to collaborate with a multi-cultural and cross-functional team.
- Independent, inquisitive and an initiative-taker.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, and Excel).
- Understanding of business intelligence tool.
Working Conditions:
- This position will work in typical office conditions with extensive time using computer equipment.
- Close attention to detail required.
- Willingness to work in a team-based environment.
- May be required to sit or stand for long periods of 8+ hours a day while performing duties.
- Must possess good hand-eye coordination; close attention to detail is required.
- Willingness to complete safety training within allotted timeframes, and work in a team-based environment.
- The position deals with many deadlines. Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require.
