Summary of Position

The Vice President of Marketing, based in the North America, is responsible for all activities related to conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving marketing targets for their assigned products. Specific responsibilities include business and market development; market research and planning; strategic direction for promotion and advertising; coordination with sales; and hiring and directing the day-to-day activities of marketing staff. 


This role will shape and drive the marketing function in North America.  The VP will create a marketing vision and transform our marketing to meet demands of the new Curium organization, especially in the space of new product launch, product evaluation, market access and reimbursement.  The VP will create a global mindset, inspire his/her team and others to action, connect closely with the salesforce and leverage data to make appropriate progress. 

Essential Functions

  • Serve as a marketing leader for North America, providing support in the areas of marketing strategy, management and ownership of the strategic planning process.
  • Develop the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve our goals. 
  • Provide leadership and/or support the design, development, and implementation of product lines. 
  • Manage multiple new product launches including planning and executing pre-launch demand generation activity; leading logistical, promotional, and sales support activity during launch; and driving post-launch tracking and marketing programs to maximize sales.
  • Create and execute on a successful market access program to support the reimbursement of new and existing products.
  • Oversee and provide direction to market and competitor analysis. 
  • Provide leadership, direction and management of the market research activities. 
  • Participate in the creation of a coordinated, institutional and system-wide marketing reporting function that can track, measure and analyze performance. 
  • Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources. 
  • Provide input and support to the company’s leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations, acquisitions and partnership arrangements. 
  • Provide marketing skills and expertise to the company by building, developing and managing a marketing team capable of carrying out the necessary marketing strategies and tactics. 
  • Participate fully in professional societies and activities related to the industries in general and the marketing profession in particular.  Serve as key relationship with external stakeholders and key opinion leaders in the nuclear medicine space. 
  • Prepare presentations for executives, board members, CEOs, etc. to explain the company’s current and future strategies.  Manage creation of communications for external BD&L related to marketing/product strategy.
     

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree required, Master degree preferred 
  • 15 or more years of relevant work experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in pharmaceuticals, product management and new product launch.  
  • 5 or more years of prior experience as a VP Marketing, Director of Marketing or other senior level role leading a national brand is required along with demonstrated leadership in driving high performance.  
  • Must have experience in creating a marketing vision, developing a center of excellence.  
  • Experience in the hospital, urology, oncology space is preferred.  
  • Must have experience in market access and reimbursement. 
  • Nuclear medicine experience is preferred.   
  • Demonstrated leadership and accountability; excellent verbal and written skills; strong negotiation and influencing capability; analytical and project management capability; strategic mindset with ability to make difficult decisions; ability to read, write and speak fluently in French is helpful. 
  • This position requires up to 30% domestic and international travel.


Working Conditions:

  • May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
  • Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, weekends, etc., as necessary. 
  • Close attention to detail required and must possess good hand-eye coordination.
  • Willingness to work in a team-based environment.
